What is Valified Benchmark, and what do I gain from using it?
This article explains how you can easily gain valuable insights into your company’s sustainability journey here on Valified’s ESG platform.
What is Valified Benchmark?
Valified Benchmark provides a user-friendly overview that identifies and compares your company’s strengths and opportunities for improvement. It can be used for internal dialogue and goal setting within ESG. The company’s Benchmark is based on your ESG Baseline responses.
How do I use it?
- You can find Valified Benchmark under "Baselines" in the main menu on the left side of your profile.
- If your company has been invited to an ESG Baseline that has not yet been completed, you can find it under "Request for Data." Once you’ve completed an ESG Baseline, your company’s Benchmark will be prepared shortly. Please note that it can take up to 30 minutes for us to prepare your Benchmark. You will receive an email when your Benchmark is ready!
- You can find your Benchmark under "Baselines You’re Working On." Here, you can select which ESG Baseline and calendar year you would like to see the benchmark for.
- When you click on a year, you will be guided into the overview. Here you can see how your company performs on its own. We have highlighted areas where the company’s responses are either closest to or furthest from the ideal answer. If all your responses are considered ideal, it means your company is doing the best it can within the selected ESG parameters. This gives you an overview of where the company is performing well on its own and where there is the greatest potential for improvement. Below, you can see charts that show the company’s responses to the questions from ESG Baseline, compared to what is considered the best response a company can give. You can also see the percentage of what other companies on Valified’s platform have answered.
- Under "Comparison," you’ll find the same setup as in the Overview. The difference between Overview and Comparison is that here we have evaluated the company’s responses and compared the results with other companies that have responded to the same ESG Baseline. The comparison shows where the company stands stronger than others and where it could improve. The difference is that under Overview, you can identify your company’s strengths and weaknesses based on the ideal answer, and under Comparison, you can identify them based on a comparison with others.
- Under "Data," you can see what your company has answered to the questions in your ESG Baseline.
- If you would like to change your responses in this ESG Baseline, you can click on “Update Responses.” Please note that if you change your responses, it can take up to 30 minutes for us to prepare your updated Benchmark.
- Right next to "Update Responses," you can click in and see Benchmark and responses for the other years you have completed for this ESG Baseline. Here you can identify your development over the years within the questions.
