Here you will find information about the recommendations on which Valified's ESG tools are based.
ESG legal and market requirements are accelerating across the entire value chain
Sustainability is not new, but our focus has intensified significantly in recent years. Valified works every day to ensure the quality of ESG data by continuously adapting and standardizing with the latest recommendations and legal requirements.
Below, you will find information about the recommendations, standards, principles, and definitions that Valified's ESG tools use to measure sustainability.
ESG Baseline
The foundation of ESG Baseline is based on the UN Global Compact's 10 principles: The Ten Principles | UN Global Compact. Valified has translated these 10 principles into concrete, everyday language questions that can be understood and applied by companies of all sizes. In addition to the UN Global Compact's 10 principles, some questions in the ESG Baseline are based on other recommendations and standards to cover relevant areas within a company:
- Questions about responsible corporate governance and climate are based on FSR's and Nasdaq's ESG key figures and customer feedback. Read more about FSR's and Nasdaq's ESG key figures here.
- Step 5 of the ESG Baseline is based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All countries in the world have adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals through the UN. These goals can provide a common foundation for communication within a company about what areas are being focused on. Read more about the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) here.
CO2 Calculator
Valified's CO2 calculator is based on the Danish Business Authority's Climate Compass. The calculation model in the Climate Compass is built on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, an internationally recognized standard for corporate CO2 emission accounting recommended by the EU Commission. Read more about the Climate Compass here and more about the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol here.
Impact Report
Valified's Impact Report is a sustainability report based on FSR's and Nasdaq's recommendations for ESG key figures. The ESG key figure overview is a proposal for which ESG data may be relevant in assessing a company's future business performance and is therefore encouraged to be included in its annual report. Incorporating the ESG key figures into the annual report is not a requirement but a recommendation from FSR and Nasdaq. Read more about FSR's and Nasdaq's ESG key figures here.
Help Center
Valified's Help Center offers assistance and tools for business-driven sustainability work. You will find free templates, checklists, and guides, as well as affordable packages. These tools in the Help Center are based on the OECD Guidelines, which are recommendations for responsible business conduct. The guidelines cover topics such as human rights, labor rights, international environmental standards, and anti-corruption. Read more about the OECD Guidelines here.
