- Example
1. Messages
In your post, you can discuss your experiences using Valified's digital sustainability report. You can work from questions like:
- What have we learned?
- Why did we start working with sustainability and digital reporting?
- What do the report's results mean for our customers?
- What value does the report have for us and our customers?
REMEMBER! Always avoid making general statements about sustainability, such as "We are sustainable," as this is often considered greenwashing. Instead, focus on specific initiatives that make you more sustainable.
You can read more about how your company can avoid greenwashing in the Danish Consumer Ombudsman's quick guide to environmental marketing here.
2. Text Structure
In addition to discussing the value of your sustainability efforts, there are tips and tricks that can help your post gain attention, including:
- Quotes
- Company Tags
- Hashtags
- Emojis
Quotes
Including quotes can add credibility to your post and show that you take sustainability seriously. You can use a quote from your sustainability report or from a member of the management team discussing the work with Valified or sustainability in the company.
Company Tags
In your post, you can choose to tag relevant companies, including Valified and your bank or industry association that invited you to the platform. You can tag them by typing "@" followed by the company's name.
Hashtags
Hashtags are a way to get your post in front of people who find it interesting but may not yet follow your company.
You can use the tags we at Valified often use:
#PoweredbyValified, #GreenTransition, #Sustainability, #Impact
Feel free to also use your own hashtags based on your slogans, values, or business focus.
Emojis
Emojis can be used to catch users' attention and add some color to your post. Make sure to use emojis that are relevant to your company and the post you're creating.
Here are some of the emojis we use at Valified:
🌲 🌳 🌍 🌱 ♻️ 💚 📈
3. Sharing the Sustainability Report
With an externally published sustainability report, your report becomes shareable in digital form. This means that by sharing the link to the report, you can show stakeholders your report.
It can also be used in your social media posts so that your customers and employees can follow your sustainability efforts.
Image
We recommend using an image with your post, as this helps capture the user's attention. It can either be an image that accompanies your report link or a more personal image that represents your company's spirit—for example, a daily life picture or a photo of the management team.
"Powered by Valified" Logo
Instead of or as a supplement to an image, you can use the "Powered by Valified" logo in your post.
“Powered by Valified” cannot be used as or replace a sustainability certification or similar. However, with it, you show your customers, current and future employees, partners, and others that you work digitally, systematically, and structured with sustainable transition.
You can find and download the "Powered by Valified" logo by clicking on your company name in the menu on the left of your homepage. You will find it under "Valified Logo."
4. Example of a LinkedIn Post
Here’s an example of what a social media post (LinkedIn) might look like:
Copy-Ready Text
If you need inspiration for what to say in your post, Valified has prepared some text examples that you can likely copy directly into your company's post:
- We are ready with our first sustainability report for the year 2022. It has been an exciting and educational process, and we are happy to share the results with you 🌍
- The work has led to some good internal discussions on how we take responsibility and improve—both socially and environmentally—and how we meet our customers' and partners' future demands, all while continuing to ensure quality and great service for our customers 📈
- "We are pleased to have completed our first sustainability report, which provides us with a foundation to continue working on sustainability in the future" - CEO, Company.
- A big thank you to @Valified for a great experience and to @partner (bank or industry association) for getting us started! 💚
